Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) Modernization Program – Burbank, California

In December 2010, Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority (BGPAA) commissioned a Technology Improvement Plan to improve operational efficiency at the Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR), formerly Bob Hope Airport. The Technology Improvement Plan included the replacement of airline proprietary systems with Common Use systems.

In May 2011, BGPAA awarded the Technology Improvement Plan contract to SITA.

In June 2011, SITA engaged Inspired Networks for Delivery Management of the Special Systems; the scope of systems included:

    • LAN, Internet Protocol Telephony (IPT)
  • Airport Operation Systems
    • RMS, EVIDS, Visual Paging, Digital Signage
  • Passenger Processing Systems
    • CUPPS, CUSS
  • System Interfaces
