Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) Airline Migrations – Beijing, China

In March 2008, Beijing Capital International Airport Company Limited (BCIA) commissioned the opening of a new Terminal 3. The Terminal 3 budget was $3.5 billion. Terminal 3 was the largest airport terminal-building complex in the world to be built in a single phase, with 10,610,000 sq. ft. Terminal 3 is currently the second-largest airport passenger terminal building in the world, with Dubai International Airport (DXB) Terminal 3 the largest at 18,444,000 sq. ft. The opening of Terminal 3 was planned in support of the Beijing Summer Olympic Games.

SAA and SITA engaged Inspired Networks for the planning, coordination, and migration of the airlines to Terminal 3. Inspired Networks, in coordination with the individual airlines, identified, designed, and managed the delivery for the individual airline infrastructure requirements including: Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless LAN, Wide Area Network (WAN), and Telephony services.
