World Bank Integrated Communication Project (ICP) – Worldwide Rollout

In 2001, the World Bank initiated the Integrated Communications Project (ICP) to deliver an integrated communications platform for data, voice, and video services across both the World Bank Headquarters and their 262 Country Offices (CO). The first phase was the deployment of two (2) Cisco IPT (Internet Protocol Telephony) Mega Clusters which included over 10,000+ handsets. The second phase was the deployment of three (3) Cisco IPT Main Clusters, consisting of over 6,000+ handsets, across 262 Country Offices spanning 6 continents.

The World Bank awarded the ICP Project to a team from Cisco, SITA, and Orang Business Services (OBS).

Inspired Networks was engaged to provide delivery management services for Phase 2 – Country Office Migrations. Inspired Networks managed the delivery of the CO migrations from December 2012 to June of 2015. Inspired Networks provided for:

  • Coordination of all on-site activities working in coordination with the Central SITA ICP Program Team, OBS, and the World Bank.
